I fell in Love

I fell in love but not before love landed upon a bed of hay where no rest was ever had that was not a sleep divine. I kissed His glowing cheek as He radiated humility that was as regal as it was meek. With tenderness He pointed as He turned the other cheek so as to signify that He cherished my love though it was feeble and faintly weak. He smiled a solar smile my eyes could not contain and then as the light left Him I saw Him in His pain. His bed no more was the manger of hay as when I beheld Him in such peace for now stark naked before my eyes His earthly life did cease. But before it did He pointed as He turned the other cheek. I fell in love but not before.
